Overhand LoopTie-in knots - rope up knots

Figure-nine Bend

Tie-in knots or rope up knots are used to tie into the end or somewhere into the middle of a rope.

The Figure-nine Bend is a knot, that is easy to untie. Just like the Figure-eight Loop it is possible to break the knot to loose it.
The big disadvantage of this knot is: it's very complicated to make it, and there's a big risk to make mistakes.

This climbing knot is very unpopular. Please don't use it.

If you like to have a safe knot, that is easy to be untied, you should better make a Bowline on a Bight.
